I have moved to Byron Bay. This photo was taken on my first day here. My boss had asked that I start work here 2 weeks before I was due to move in. So I either had to drive 4 hours a day to Brisbane and back, or move into the bosses house, while he packed to go travelling with the family for a year. I chose to share accom and after about 20 minutes, I had to get out of the house and go for a walk. I had no reception on my phone, so decided to head north towards Byron Bay to call Shanzee. I was hating it. No place to rest. No home to live in. No internet. No friends. I walked for over an hour up the beach until I got reception. As the phone keep cutting out I felt more and more isolated, alone, sad. Ultimately the phone call cheered me up - a familiar voice - a friend, but when I hung up, I was alone again. I turned around to return back home, and it was then that I saw this complete rainbow. A little ray of hope. A bow of happiness. Then it rained and rained on me, all the way home. I returned, a drowned rat. Welcome to Byron Bay.
